Museums-Dia;Beacon
Dia was opened in 2003 in the renovated Nabisco factory in Beacon NY. Along with permanent exhibits they display temporary collections, gallery talks, Mere Cunningham Dance Company Events, and community Free Days for neighboring counties. Spring/Summer hours (April16th - October 19) Thursday-Monday 11am -6pm

Culinary Institute of America
The CIA is in Hyde Park, NY minutes from Poughkeepsie and Rhinebeck in Dutchess County. The world renowned school for culinary arts has four famed restaurants that are open on a rotating schedule. American Bounty, Escoffier, Ristorante Caterina de Medici and St. Andrews Cafe as well as the Apple Pie Bakery Café. The café bakery is open Monday through Friday 7:30-6:30.
Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian trail runs from Georgia to Maine and an entry point is located minutes from the B&B in Stormville, NY. 88 miles of the trail run through New York State and has a difficulty rating between a 2-5. This is a great trail hike, bird watching and nature hike.

There are many great places to shop in the Hudson Valley but Millbrook, NY has the best blend of antiques, cafés, and boutique shopping.

Dutchess County Fair Grounds
The fair grounds has been an historic part of the county and New York State. The fair grounds has seen a large change over the past two years for the better with new updates to the facility, such as the entertainment stage as well as the schedule of events.
